Elliott Berger

Elliott P. Berger age 68, passed away unexpectedly on March 27th, 2024.  

Elliott was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He worked the majority of his life in upper retail management. The latter years he spent being a business development manager for B2B companies. Elliott always had a passion for basketball and his one desire was to coach/mentor an inner-city basketball league.  

Elliott also had a strong urge to protect and look after the weak and downtrodden, including animals. Elliott couldn't pass a person or specifically a cat without lending a helping hand. He looked out for, cared for, and vetted the stray cats in his area.  

Elliott is survived by his wife, Doris Jelleyman, of Rome Ga. His 3 children are Lauren Jelleyman, Christopher Jelleyman, and Kristin Jelleyman. He also has 3 grandsons, Matthew, Jordan, and Chris, and granddaughters, Victoria, and Markela, all from Philadelphia PA. Elliott has two siblings, Anna Devien of Ocean City NJ, and Louis Berger of NJ. His parents, Marvin & Willomena Berger preceded him in death.

Relatives and Friends are invited to funeral services on Tuesday April 9, 2024, 3:00 PM at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Raphael-Sacks, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19126.  

In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pennsylvania SPCA www.pspca.org  or to Philadelphia Youth Basketball https://www.phillyyouthbasketball.org/ or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
