Age 72, on March 21, 2016. Husband of Evelyn C. Minick; father of Daniel Shelkrot (Jimmy Collins), Max Shelkrot (Thao Hanna), and Benjamin Shelkrot; brother of Dr. Joel (Bonnie) Shelkrot and Dr. Deborah (Dr. Drew) Permut; grandfather of Samantha. Elliot was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ruth Shelkrot; and his son, David H. Shelkrot. A public Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Free Library - Montgomery Ballroom in Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation.
