Ellen Susan Shour

Ellen Susan Shour, age 56, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born In Philadelphia on July 26, 1966.

Ellen was a elementary school teacher in Philadelphia. She loved being a teacher and all her students. She enjoyed travelling, the beach and shopping but most of all she loved her family.

Ellen cared about helping others. She wanted to help children and supported St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also volunteered at the Shriner’s Hospital and the Special Olympics.

Ellen is survived by her loving sister Michele Shour and Alisa Creighton (nee Shour), her devoted nephews David (Michelle) Shour and Harris Betz, great nieces Kaylee Shour and Chloe Shour, her father Jonas Shour and her mother Sharon Davis.

Funeral Services and Interment are private. Shiva will be observed at her late residence on Sunday beginning at 3pm. Shiva will continue Monday and Tuesday from 12 pm -4pm and 6pm-8pm.
