Elizabeth Brockman

Elizabeth "Liz" Brockman (née Golansky) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024. She was born in Philadelphia on April 2, 1934 to Anna and Samuel Golansky, and was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She will be remembered for her artistic talents, her time as an educator at the J. Hampton Moore School, and for her love of animals and the arts.
 

After years of raising and supporting children on her own, she met David Brockman in 1984. They married on January 1, 1985. David and Liz both loved their trips to Aruba and visits to Atlantic City.
 
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband David Brockman, her parents, Anna and Samuel Golansky, and her brother Herbie Golansky. She is survived by her children, Paul (Lin) Grecian and Sharyn (James) Decker, sister Bernice Rothwarf, grandchildren Madison, Hannah, and Cole, and niece Jeanne and nephews Richard and David.
 
Funeral services are private. One day of shiva will be observed at the home of Sharyn and James Decker on Wednesday, March 20 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, per the wishes of the deceased. Contributions in her memory may be made to any animal charity of the donor's choice.
