Elizabeth Broadfield, also known affectionately as Ann, passed on April 8, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1941, in Elmira, New York.
She attended the Mansfield Junior Senior High School and graduated in 1959. She worked at EJ's Shoe Company in Johnson City manufacturing leather boots and worked as a housekeeper at Best Western. She was also a longtime member of the Roseville United Methodist Church in Roseville, Pennsylvania.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Elizabeth found joy in simple yet profound pleasures. Cooking together, bonding over episodes of "The Young and The Restless," and playfully bantering about fictional maids entertained her loved ones and created cherished memories. Her magnetic personality, marked by a sharp wit and humor, endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her leisure time, Elizabeth could be found tending to her garden with love and care or delighting in the company of birds and dogs. Her eye for bargains at Dollar General was legendary among those closest to her.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ruth (nee Baker), brothers Ed and Richard. She is survived by her niece Reba Broadfield, who will continue to carry on the Broadfield legacy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA in Danville, Pennsylvania.
