Elie Assaraf, age 88, passed away December 26, 2023. Beloved husband to the late Rebecca Assaraf (Miller). Loving father of Avi and Michelle. Adoring grandfather of Justin Asaraf, Jamie Sharabani and Joshua Asaraf. Survived by his brothers Nissim (Israel) and Moshe and the neices and nephews of his brothers and late sisters, Chasiba, Susanne Monsonego, Rosette, Miriam and Judith. [we pray our family in Israel are safe]
Elie was born in Morocco and found his way to Israel on his own as a teenager. Married in 1963 and move to Philadelphia in 1964. In a few short years he opened and operated an electrical contracting business for over 35 years, along with some other business ventures. Our father\grandfather\uncle most noteworthy attribute was his desire to help anyone who asked for help. So many of our friends and family in America and Israel could share their stories of his generosity - this is his legacy.
