ELEANORE (nee Kates), a Secretary at Lower Merion High School for over 30 years, died January 7, 2010, after a long illness. She was 88. Mrs. Golden was the secretary in the Attendance, Guidance, and Discipline Office at Lower Merion High School for over 30 years. Almost all the students at Lower Merion High knew her. During her tenure she was "Agony Aunt" for many students over the years. After retiring 13 years ago, Mrs. Golden volunteered for the National Transplant Assistance Fund and "Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic." She was a daughter of the founders of Advertisers Press. She was the mother of Eve Golden of Lynd-hurst NJ, and Debra Golden-Davis of Tucson AZ. Contribu-tions in her memory may be made to your local library.
