KAUFMAN, ELAINE (nee BRANDT) - of Cheltenham, PA and Atlantic City, passed away on Saturday December 1, 2007 at home. Born in Poland in 1929, she survived the Holocaust but suffered the loss of her parents and siblings. She came to the United States after WW II and settled in Philadelphia where she met her beloved husband Samuel to whom she was married for 58 years. Elaine was a proud wife and homemaker who devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and Jewish charitable organizations. She was an active member of the Assoc. of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Hadassah. Her favorite activity and grea joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She is wife of Samuel; mother of Bonnie Kay, Eydie (Steve) Hammers and Dr. Larry (Lynne) Kaufman, grandmother of Taryn Kay; Jessica, Whitney, Tori, and Shawna Hammers; Joel and Jenny Kaufman. Relatives, friends and members of the Assoc. Of Jewish Holocaust Survivors are invited to funeral services Mon 11:30 AM precisely at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks Suburban North, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, Pa. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the late residence. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors for Nahariah Hospital, c/o Miriam Caine, 423 Waring Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19116.
