HALLQUIST
ELAINE (Matuck), born in 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to Nan Caplan and Solomon Matuck, passed away on February 5, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late James Hallquist. She was a beloved mother of Stacy (John) Molinari and Kara (Chuck) Weiler. She raised her children mostly on her own while her husband travelled. She was the greatest Mom Mom to Samantha Molinari and Hannah and Jackson Weiler (just ask them). She had a tough upbringing and lost her father at the age of 14. Her whole neighborhood rallied around her family and friendships remain to this day. She was close to her younger sister Harriet and her mother. She lost her beloved younger sister in her early forties. Elaine developed a tough exterior and some would report that she was intense and a perfectionist. She had an independent soul, was very generous and never forgot to send a card or forgot any occasion. She was a free spirt who loved her children and grandchildren. She greatly missed her late husband with whom she hopefully is reunited. Her bereaving daughter will remember all of the memories and years together as she cleans out 6 decades of accumulated items they collected in their home. She was a special person who will be missed every day. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 9:15A.M. precisely.
