Elaine Coren

October 24, 1934 — February 14, 2026

Elaine Coren, 91, was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Tillie and Harry Feinman. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard Coren, and her beloved sister, Shelley Bernstein. A graduate of Bronx High School of Science and City College of New York, Elaine built a life defined by devotion to family, and enduring friendships. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Richard Coren, and soon after moved to Philadelphia, where together they created a warm and welcoming home.

Elaine treasured time spent with friends and family, loved to travel extensively, and was an enthusiastic bridge player who delighted in the camaraderie and challenge of the game. She adored her three children, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and took immense pride in each of them. She is survived by her children Harriet Winokur (Steven Winokur), Martin Coren (Maggie Fales), and Michael Coren (Susan Coren). Her legacy lives on in the close-knit family she nurtured and the love she shared so generously.
