Born in Schenectady, NY on February 17, 1942, Elaine lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her adult life eventually took her to Holland, Pennsylvania, where she and her husband Jack raised their 2 children. She always celebrated their successes. She was deeply proud of her lengthy career working with a variety of special needs students in the Council Rock School District. In her later years, she retired to NJ to be loved and cared for by Felicia and Andrew, as well as the staff of Cardinal Village and finally of Enoble Care Hospice.
Elaine is predeceased by her husband Jack M. Weiss. She was the devoted mother of Michael Weiss (Elizabeth) and Felicia Seigel (Andrew), and the cherished grandmother of Jessica Seigel (Kyle Saukus), Jacquelyn Kovak (James), Samuel Weiss (Kerry), and Brandon Seigel (Aly Campana) and great grandmother of Aidan and Ari Weiss and Arianna Kovak. She is also survived by her sister, Beth Abramson (Bernie).
Elaine will be remembered by her love of her grandchildren, especially trips to Nifty Fifties and her homemade chopped liver and deviled eggs. It was truly special to visit grandma and get to play with her. Later in life she found joy in crafting and sold her wares at many local craft shows. She was especially known for her earrings which she continued to make and sell throughout her final days.
Her legacy lives on in the compassion and friendship that she shared with those close to her including the professionals at Cardinal Village and Enoble Care.
