EDWIN KRAUSS

1927 — January 1, 2021

Edwin Krauss of Warminster, Pennsylvania passed away at home on Tuesday September 7, 2021, at the age of 94.

Services are being held for Edwin at Ann's Choice Retirement Community's Chapel on Friday, September 10th at 10 am (Anne's Choice Way, Warminster, PA). The burial will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park (Old Lincoln Highway and Street Road) at 11:15 am. All are invited to attend.

Shiva will be held on Saturday evening, September 11th, Sunday September 12th and Monday September 13th at 7 pm at Ed & Etta's home at Ann's Choice Retirement Community, Warminster, PA.

Edwin was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 19, 1927, to Leon and Deborah Krauss. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Boys in 1945 and New York University with a degree in Biochemistry in 1950. Edwin and Etta were married on June 14, 1953, in Philadelphia. Edwin worked as an information technology manager for the City of Philadelphia, the United Nations Development Corporation, Hahnemann Hospital, NY City Health and Hospitals Corporation and the Franklin Institute.

Edwin loved food, wine, and travel (especially Paris) and was a phenomenal cook. He rarely used a recipe and even when he was no longer able to see well, could still tell if something was cooked right by his sense of touch and smell. He also loved music and art and played the bassoon throughout much of his life, from high school, through college and in community orchestras. He loved teaching his grandchildren his cooking and music secrets and was always ready with a good story and a laugh.

Edwin is survived by his wife of 67 years, Etta Krauss (nee Litz); children Barton (Rose), Robert (Roberta), and Lori (David); and grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Gabriella and Alexander Krauss, & Daniel, Jacob, and Nathan Fernandez.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ann's Choice Benevolent Care Fund.
