Edward Sherman

SHERMAN
EDWARD, 95, former resident of Philadelphia, PA and Margate, FL, now residing in Syracuse, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Community General Hospital. Edward was the owner and founder of Girard Tire Co. until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Mr. Sherman was pre-deceased by his wife Anne Sherman in 2007 and sisters, Sylvia Shore, Esther Byck and Lilian Gelband. Survived by his daughter Connie (Shelly) Blank; son Rabbi Charles S. (Leah) Sherman; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Blank, Susan (David) Kaarby, Rabbi Nogah Sherman, Orah (David) Barnett, Eyal Sherman, Erez Sherman and Nitza Sherman; great grand-daughters, Madison and Loren Blank and Dylan Kaarby. Services will be conducted on Sunday, January 13th, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. at GOLDSTEIN'S ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad Street. Burial will be in Montifore Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. Contributions may be made to the Anne and Edward Sherman Jewish Family Life Enrichment Endowment Fund, c/o Temple Adath Yeshurun, 450 Kimber Rd., Syracuse, NY 13224.
