Edith Landau

Edith (Wasserman) Landau, died May 13, 2016 at Country Meadows of Allentown. She was 94. Mrs. Landau was born and raised in Philadelphia. Along with her late husband, Harold, Mrs. Landau owned and operated Landau Hearing Aids located in Center City Philadelphia for over 30 years until her retirement 33 years ago. She was involved with the Friends of the Chapel of the Four Chaplains and was honored by the Chapel of the Four Chaplains many years ago. She was a very active and former officer of ORT America, and was a member of the Order of the Golden Chain. Mrs. Landau was also honored for her philanthropic deeds by the hearing impaired community. She was the wife of the late Harold Pitkoff, daughter of the late John and Clara Weissman, and sister of the late Ruth Speier and that late Matthew Weissman. She is the mother of Jane Pitkoff (Howard) of Allenbtown. Grandmother of Wendy Zeitlin and Andrew Zeitlin (Susan). Step grandmother of Mark Pitkoff (Miriam), Barry Pitkoff (Donna), and Randi Fraley (Keith). Great grandmother of Zachary, Dahlia, Rachel, Ely, Jacob, Noah, Naomi, Joelle, Benjamin, Brendan, and Aaron. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services Sunday 1:30 PM precisely at King David Memorial Park, 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Following burial all are invited to the home of Jane and Howard Pitkoff. Calling hours will also be held Monday and Tuesday 7 PM - 9 PM.
