EDITH KRIEGER, PhD

Dr. Edith Krieger (nee Chernoff). Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Krieger, Mother of Ken Krieger (Kim) and Audrey Krieger Amado (Paul Amado) and Grandmother to Lindsay, Madison & Marissa Krieger.

Long before she was Nana to the kids, she was a 9-year-old little girl growing up in Northeast Philadelphia. She had an amazing mind and always wanted to know everything, so she decided to read an Encyclopedia cover to cover. That thirst for knowledge would continue throughout her life, ultimately resulting in a Ph. D in Clinical l Psychology from Temple University. She founded her own Market Research Firm Psychonometrics and served as Director of Market Research at the Vanguard Corporation.

Following 56 wonderful years of marriage to her husband Lawrence, she moved to Ann's Choice in Warminster, PA.

Her spirit, influence and advocacy extended beyond our family, having served as Vice Chair of the Ann's Choice Advisory Council. She ran art and photography exhibits helping raise money for the Benevolent Care Fund and launched Ann's Choice Virtual University which provided virtual lectures for Seniors shut in during COVID-19. She was an active member of Digital Camera Clubs, Book Clubs and a Poetry Club. She had amazing friends, loved playing Bridge, theater and traveled the world. In recent years, she visited Venezuela, Spain, Italy, London, Russia, Denmark, Portugal, China, Thailand (where she rode an elephant) and Israel (where she rode a camel).
Graveside services will be private on Sunday 2/7/21 and Shiva will be held via Zoom on Monday 2/8/21. Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cancer society.
