Edith (Freed) Katzowsky, born on September 10, 1937, in the vibrant city of Philadelphia, departed this world peacefully from her residence on December 18, 2025, surrounded by unwavering love—a testament to the profound connections she nurtured throughout her life. A woman of remarkable ardor and dedication, Edith gracefully balanced her career as a bank teller with her paramount role as a loving mother. She retired from banking, yet never ceased to be an exemplary steward of warmth and generosity, embodying the spirit of selflessness that defined her existence.

Edith was a beacon of hospitality in her home, where the aroma of her lovingly prepared meals welcomed all who entered. Her “open cabinet policy” reflected not just her generous nature but also her desire to share the abundance of love she cultivated within her family. Always prepared to serve, she radiated a warmth that enveloped others, making each visitor feel cherished. Edith’s proclivity for cooking not only filled stomachs but also fostered bonds, creating a sanctuary for family and friends alike.

In her journey through life, Edith encountered joys and trials, yet she remained an unwavering pillar of strength. She was reunited in spirit with her beloved parents, Victor Freed and Gertrude Gross, her esteemed husband Arnold, her cherished sisters Lillian Britchkow and Martin and Allen Freed, along with her treasured daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Mitchell Sterling. Together, they now share eternal peace.

Edith is survived by her beloved son Gary and daughter-in-law Laurie (Budrewicz) Katzowsky, who carry forward her legacy of love, as well as her only grandchild, Robert Sterling, who was the apple of her eye and the source of profound joy in her later years.

A funeral service to honor her life will take place at Goldstein's Rosenberg's Funeral Directors Suburban North, located at 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA, on December 22, 2025, commencing at 11:30 AM, followed by committal services held at King David Memorial Park, Bensalem.
