Dr. Myron Lee Blumberg

DR MYRON LEE BLUMBERG, Radiologist passed away October 5, 2024. Mike was 90 and born in Abington Pa to Dr Kasper and Sadie Blumberg. Predeceased by his sister Judith Blumberg Schwartz. He was in the 198 class of Central High School, was graduated from F&M College and then Hahnemann Medical College. A veteran, Mike enjoyed his service as a Captain at the Torrejon Air Force base in Madrid, Spain. He interned at Philadelphia General Hospital and took his Radiology Residency at Einstein Medical Center, Northern Division where he remained on Staff for 25 Years. Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon (Becker), his two daughters Dr. Kimberly and Andrea and two grandchildren Lila and Oliver. Mike was a world traveler taking two to three trips a year visiting exotic places from Sulawesi to Timbuktu. Mike and Sharon shared an historic Wilson Eyre town house in Center City which housed many artifacts from their travels. Mike appreciated good food, that he also loved to cook. He enjoyed playing tennis and creating impressive metal sculptures. He won an award for his 7-foot-tall knight in shining armor. Mike had vast knowledge of esoteric things and wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed. Services and interment are Private. A memorial for Mike will be planned at a future date.
