Starts at 1:30 pm (Eastern time)
Dr. Arnold Lincow of Center City, Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a devoted and loving husband of Barbara Lincow (Whitman) for 57 beautiful years, and a proud, caring father to Beth Lincow Cole, Caren (Robert) Goldberg, Ronald (Robin) Lincow, and Jeff (Jamie) Lincow. His greatest joy was being a Zeidy to Brandon and Sara Cole; Emily and Zach Goldberg; Shane, Max, and Ruby Lincow; and Shiloh, Hunter, and Sawyer Lincow. He was also a brother to Marlene Silverstein (Stuart).
Arnold was deeply proud of being a first-generation college graduate. He graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 1967, then earned a master’s degree in education, and later graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1976. For 35 years, he cared for his patients in private practice, where they fondly called him Dr. L, building lifelong relationships and serving the Philadelphia community with kindness, dedication and always with love.
A lifelong learner at heart, Arnold approached retirement the same way he approached life—with curiosity and enthusiasm. He spent his later years immersed in continuing education and the joy of learning simply for the sake of learning.
He treasured summers at the shore with his family in Ventnor, New Jersey, where some of his happiest memories were made. Arnold had a passion for collecting coins and stamps and a deep fascination with geology, but his greatest pleasure came from sharing his knowledge and curiosity with his grandchildren. To them, he was a teacher, a storyteller, and a constant source of wonder.
Above all, Arnold will be remembered for his love of family, his generous spirit to community, and his endless curiosity about the world. He was always learning—and always teaching.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2026 at Old York Road Temple -Beth Am, 971 Old York Rd., Abington PA 19001 at 1:30pm promptly. Family will begin receiving at 1:00pm.
