DORIS, Oct. 24, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Dion was a writer, poet and playwrite who attended Temple University. She wrote poems about her family and for her Synagogue, Beth Shalom Congregation where she adapted and produced many popular musicals for sisterhood events. She was active in the synagogue and also served as President of the Sisterhood. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Isadore S. Dion, children Alan Dion (Deborah), Michael Dion (Gloria), Linda Podietz (Eric), Samuel Dion (Micki), her sister Helen Goldberg, her sister-in-law Debbie Marine; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Tuesday 1 P.M. precisely at Beth Shalom Cong., 8231 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA. Int. Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Samuel and Micki Dion. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, www.alz.org.
