DONALD GOOTMAN on October 21, 2019. Husband of the late Elaine (nee Faber). Beloved father of Abbe (Howell) Bichefsky and Michael Gootman. Brother of Suzanne Rosenthal. Most caring, loving and devoted grandfather in the world to Erica, Matthew and Ryan. Donald was a proud veteran of the Navy, and a lover of all kinds of music, including classical, rock and Sid Mark's Sunday with Sinatra. He spent the majority of his life loving the beach, warm sunshine, a good work out, a good scotch, a good laugh, and being around his wife of 53 years, Elaine, and their kids and grandkids. No words can adequately describe the loss of Don to those who loved him and cared about him. Relatives and friends are invited to graveside services Friday, October 25, 12 noon at Shalom Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Shiva will be observed at the house of his daughter, Abbe Bichefsky, Friday only, starting at 1 PM. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Gift of Life Donor Program.
