Dolores Steigrod

Dolores Sheila Jacobs Steigrod passed away April 7th, 2023 at the age of 85 surrounded by her loving family.  Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dolores had deep roots in Pennsylvania.  She moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1997 where she enjoyed the weather, her friends, and beautiful Florida lifestyle. She was devoted to her family and cared deeply for her friends and neighbors. Dolores was an active political supporter and believed in true equality and opportunities for everyone.  She loved animals, from farm animals to her many dogs and cats.  Dolores is survived by her daughter Hope Suzanne Goldman, son-in-law Elliot Goldman, son Adam Steigrod, sister Libby Ann Jacobs, her beloved grandchildren Lily and Moses, and her beautiful poodle Bella.  A funeral was held on Tuesday April 10th at Roosevelt Memorial Gardens just outside Philadelphia.   If you knew Dolores, you knew she was full of life, never put off until tomorrow when she could have a good time today, and was always challenging herself, recently taking tap dancing classes, painting, and learning piano.  Donations in her honor may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, Habitat for Humanity, or the World Central Kitchen.  She is gone too soon and will always be thought of with a smile. 😊
