Diana Brown

DIANA BROWN (nee Stein) on September 11, 2023. Beloved wife of 65 years to Leon Brown; Loving mother of Susan Schweitzer (nee Block) (Pete) and Stanton Brown; Devoted grandmother of Mitchell Block and Andrew Block. Diana was a force of nature and cared deeply for her friends and family and often checked in on their well-being and their family lives.  She loved her home in Delray and soaked up the Florida sunshine while enjoying mah-jong, pool exercises and the Yiddish Club with a newfound hobby of acrylic painting in her retirement.  She had a vast wardrobe with outfits for every occasion or season and the glitzier the better to make her smile, never without her rouge and lipstick.  Diana was a hard worker from the age of 14 and during her children’s school years was in market research until becoming a successful partner in a woman owned business within the transportation industry in her later working years. She leaves behind a legacy and a lasting impression on any life she had touched whether near or far, season or lifetime, Diana's presence leaves a void but will be felt and cherished in our memories. Relatives and friends are invited to Graveside Services, Monday, 11 AM precisely at Shalom Memorial Park (Sec. Benjamin), Huntingdon Valley, PA. Shiva will be observed at the home of Stanton Brown Monday beginning after 1 PM and Tuesday all day. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Jewish Children’s & Family Services of Philadelphia (jfcsphilly.org), Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (pspca.org) or to a charity of the Donor’s choice.
