DAVID ALLAN SINGER, 93 years old, died peacefully at home on April 17th, 2026. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Lorraine (Krouse) Singer, sister Judith Cohen, sons Stuart and Jeffrey, grand-sons Joseph, Daniel, and Thomas, grand-daughter Hannah, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

David was born on July 23, 1932 from Russian immigrant parents, Esther and Joseph. He was raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, not far from Central High School, where he was educated.

After graduation, David left home to pursue a life of adventure in the US Navy, enlisting as an aviation electronic technician for a year, and an officer for twelve years via the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. He graduating with an engineering degree from Georgia Tech.

While on active duty, David and his superiors supported military actions in Central and South America, Europe, and the Caribbean. While stationed in the Panama Canal Zone, he led the South American end of the Finance Aviation Office for the Navy’s Atlantic Fleet. He also worked alongside Admiral Rickover as a supply officer for the Nuclear Submarine Program. Among his fondest memories was his time working with the Israeli Air Force, where he helped manage support for the first A-4 Skyhawk fighter jets delivered by the United States in the mid-1960s.

David left the navy as a Lieutenant Commander, dedicating himself to his growing family. In civilian life, he built a successful career as a controller and quality control engineer, earning respect not only for his professional expertise but also for his generosity in mentoring and helping others succeed.

He was interested in Jewish history, a proud Zionist, and a consummate story teller.

He was fond of swing and jazz dancing, especially to his favourite musician, Louis Prima.

Memorial services and naval honours will be held on Sunday May 24 at Goldstein Rosenberg Funeral Home, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966.
