David S. Sherman, 68, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
David lived a life defined by kindness, quiet strength, and devotion to those he cared about most. He was a steady, calming presence—admired for his character, humor, and the way he made everyone feel at ease.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Linda (née Lesher); his daughter, Nikki (Mike Bilinskas);and his son, Brian (John Daniels). He was a devoted brother to Ken Sherman (Abby) and Jim Sherman (Marge); and a cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom adored him. He also leaves behind many treasured cousins, who remained an important and enduring part of his life.
He was the son of the late Herb and Marge Sherman, whose love and guidance helped shape the values he carried throughout his life.
David worked for Hansen Properties (including Normandy Farm and Blue Bell Country Club) for nearly 40 years, where he served as CFO. He was known not just for his integrity and sharp business sense, but for being the person everyone turned to—for advice, perspective, or simply a good laugh. He was a confidant, a venting board, a voice of reason, and, as both his colleagues and family would agree, the world’s greatest negotiator.
A lifelong sports fan, David loved cheering on the Eagles and Phillies and rarely missed a chance to enjoy a round of golf—especially with family.
Growing up, David spent countless summer days swimming with his brothers and cousins, and later passed that same love of the ocean on to his children. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and new family members were always greeted with open arms and an open heart.
David and Linda shared a passion for travel, often cruising around the world and exploring new places together. He truly lived life to the fullest—whether he was spending time with family, planning his next adventure, or finding the perfect spot to watch a sunset.
To his family, David was their foundation: loyal, thoughtful, and endlessly loved. His legacy of love, humility, and honesty will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
