David Glen Roberts
David Glen Roberts, 62, of Pottsville, died on June 28, 2012. He was born October 8, 1949 in Philadelphia. He fought a 10 month battle with cancer. David died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife, Paulette, his family and friends. He was a very dedicated 5th generation metal broker and an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He will long be remembered for his generous nature and heart of gold. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Paulette Roberts (nee Rarick); son Joshua Roberts of Philadelphia; step-son, Thomas (Lisa) Bartasavage of Andreas; step-daughter, Kimberly (Todd) Woodward of Tamaqua. David was fondly known as Zayde to his 5 grandchildren, Lindsey, Cayla, Brittney, Thomas and Alex. Also survived by his sister Judi Teplitz of Harrisburg; his favorite Aunt Selma Forstater of Philadelphia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Lilyan Roberts, and his brother Gary. Services: A celebration memorial service will be held Sunday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at Goldsteins Rosenbergs Raphael-Sacks, 6410 N. Broad St., Philadelphia.
