KRASNER
DR. DAVID KRASNER, of King of Prussia, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011, in Gladwynne, PA. He was 79, and had recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Dr. Krasner was born May 3,
1932 in Brooklyn, NY to Max and Rose Krasner. He graduated from Central High in Philadelphia and then went on to Temple University where he received his DDS degree. Dr. Krasner served as a captain in the Air Force at Hanscom AFB in Waltham, MA. He later received a PhD from Bryn Mawr College in the History of Psychosomatic Medicine.
On April 10, 1954, David married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Rothman. He was a well-loved dentist to generations of families in King of Prussia for 52 years. After his retirement, David furthered his studies in pastel art work, and volunteered at Valley Forge National Park and the local Red Cross. Dr. Krasner was noted for his wry sense of humor and love of language, history, and a good pun, (not necessarily in that order). He will be lovingly remembered by his fellow relatives and beloved friends for his kindness, generosity, and humor.
David is survived by his wife, Dr. Barbara R. Krasner, a son Scott Michael Krasner of Charlotte, NC, and daughters Dr. Lauren Jill Krasner of West Chester, PA. and Karen Judith Krasner of Cary, NC. Other survivors include Scott's wife Donna and their two sons, Zachary and Tate, Jill's partner Dori Henning and their four children, Lauren, Jaimeson, Jacob, and Sarah. The Krasners also have two foster children, Aida Waserstein-Doroshow and Elio Waserstein. Daughter Karen, is engaged to be married to Vance Allen, and will continue to reside in Raleigh, NC.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Temple Beth Am Israel to be officiated by good friend and Rabbi, David Ackerman. Funeral arrangements are being made by GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS FUNERAL HOME.
