Claire Roy

Claire Roy passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2025, surrounded by abundant love and family, at the age of 95. She is survived by her nephews, Frank Lieberman (Beverly Barkon) and Barry Lieberman, great nephews Moti Lieberman (Francis Zavala) and Eli Lieberman (Marissa Lieberman), great niece Ranit Lieberman (Courtney Nass), and great-great nephew Nathan Lieberman.

Known widely as “Aunt Claire” to both family and friends, she lived her life quietly spreading love and compassion to everyone who was lucky enough to enter her orbit. She was a generous and thoughtful person who always did her utmost to make sure the people in her life felt supported and had what they needed to thrive.

She was very willing to accompany loved ones on excursions to explore the rich culture and history available in the city.

A lifelong Philadelphia resident, Claire worked as an executive secretary for 50 years and enjoyed deep workplace friendships that she cherished for many years.

She had a deep love of reading, opera, and cats, and was a supporter of charitable organizations for Jewish causes, as well as animals and the arts.

She possessed a dry sense of humor that lives in the memory of those who knew her and cared deeply about the world around her. She will be deeply, deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM, Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors, 6410 N Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19126 Interment to immediately follow at Har Jehuda Cemetery at 8400 Lansdowne Ave, Upper Darby Township, PA 19082
