Claire Goldstein

Claire Goldstein, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Claire lived a rich and fulfilling life dedicated to her family, friends, and community.

Claire was happily married to her husband, Irv, for 44 years. They built a life together, raising their family, spending time with friends, and traveling. Claire will be remembered fondly for her cooking and baking skills. She took immense pleasure in hosting dinners for her family and friends for the holidays. Claire enjoyed playing Mah Jongg and was a devoted member of Hadassah. 

Claire's legacy lives on through her beloved family. She is survived by her loving children: David Goldstein, Nadine (Scott) Comer, and Dr. Steven (Jule) Goldstein. As a devoted grandmother, she cherished her time with her grandchildren: Jonathan (Kaitlyn) Goldstein, Drew (Heather) Goldstein, Dr. Carly (David Babat) Comer, Jillian (Nizan Ifrach) Comer, Daniel (Devan) Goldstein, Ilana Goldstein, Jacob Goldstein, and Mallory Goldstein. Claire's pride only grew as a great-grandmother to Brooks, Max, and Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Irv; son, Aaron; brother, Alvin Gelman; and parents, Samuel and Dora Gelman.

Claire's funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Funeral Directors, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19126, beginning at 12:30 PM, followed by her interment at Har Jehuda Cemetery, 8400 Lansdowne Ave., Upper Darby, PA 19082.
