CHARLOTTE LOADENTHAL (DORENBLUM)

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Charlotte’s passing, Monday, August 25, 2025 at the age of 100. We are grateful for her love of family, especially the dedication and generosity she shared with us, her friends, her neighbors, and others throughout her life. Charlotte was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Olney High School, and then joined the workforce as a bookkeeper.

After marrying the love of her life, Sidney, and starting a family in Mt. Airy, she dedicated much time to volunteer work over the years with the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 993, with Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital as president of her chapter, and later with Women’s American ORT as president of her chapter. After her children were grown, she returned to her career as a bookkeeper at Blocks Jewelers.

An athlete, Charlotte loved participating in sports, especially baseball and boxball. After meeting Sidney on the beach, and loving summers in Atlantic City, eventually they retired there, having fun socializing with their friends and family.

Charlotte will be lovingly remembered by her children Fern, Barry, and Lisa (Bob) and her grandchildren Jessica, Rebecca (Michael), Kyel, Alexis (Nick) and Grace. Charlotte will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Naomi, Gwendolyn, Daniel, Liam and Molly. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Sidney, her parents, Louis and Sarah, her brothers Martin and Saul, and her daughter-in-law Nancy. Charlotte was the hub of our family, and will be missed.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28, at 2 p.m. at Roosevelt Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to ORT, or a charity of your choice.
