Charlotte Abramowitz, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, June 1st at the age of 95 years. Charlotte spent her childhood in Westwood, NJ, but as a wife and mother she resided in Mount Pleasant, PA. Since 1978 she resided in the Greater Philadelphia Area, first with her youngest daughter Barbara, and then with her eldest daughter Jo-Ellen.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, Benjamin Abramowitz, her mother Minnie, father Ben, sister Helen, and brothers Walter and Herbert. Charlotte was also preceded by sister in laws, brother in laws, as well as numerous friends. She was the last.
Charlotte was very athletic in her younger years and loved horseback riding and ice skating. As an adult, Charlotte loved to bake, knit, and (of course) shop. Charlotte was a stay-at-home mother who spent her time volunteering at the local hospital, keeping a beautiful home, and helping her husband in the family business.
She was happiest around her family; she loved being the matriarch and kept her crown on tight. She recently celebrated her 95th birthday with a surprise party, joined by her loved ones who traveled thousands of miles to honor her.
She is survived by her daughters Jo-Ellen, Debra (Steven), Cynthia (Dennis), and Barbara (Erick); her grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Jessica (Shaun), Dana (Justin), Ben (Ericka), Stacie, Rachel (Aaron), Adam (Monique), Jonathan (Jessica), and her "baby," Aryn; and her great grandchildren, Lilah, Alexa, Chase, Andrew, Valerie (Lovely), Emma, Calvin, Mya, Sophia, Noah and a baby girl on the way. She is also survived by her special furry child, Piper. Burial and Shiva will be family-only.
The family asks that donations in her memory be made to Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary (NARPS). P.O. Box 301 Uwchland, PA ,19480
