We celebrate the life of Charles Shuben of Philadelphia, PA, beloved husband, father, grand-father, and brother, who died of natural causes on April 16, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marilyn; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Mona (Giacomo); grandchildren, Julian, Adrienne, and brother, Herbert. Charlie served in the U.S. Army and received his Master's Degree from Temple University. He worked for the School District of Philadelphia for 33 years, as a teacher at Richmond Elementary and an Adminis-trative Assistant at Elkin Elementary. He was a Cub Scout troop leader. Charlie served as President of Shaari Yitzhock Synagogue in Kensington for 26 years, where he also taught Sunday school. He was a kind, humorous, compassionate man, with a deep and abiding concern for humanity. He loved to sing with his family, and perform with his friends in musical productions with the Kensing-ton Community Center and the Delaire Landing Players.
A private Graveside Service will be held at Montefiore Cem. He will be forever in our hearts.
