CHARLES HAASE, Prominent Philadelphia restaurateur, and loving husband and father, died suddenly on September 1, 2008. He is survived by his son, Martin, of Glen Ridge NJ and his wife, Barbara, and his daughter, Barbara Oaks, of Philadelphia, and her husband, Jacob. A resident of Pompano Beach FL, Mr. Haase was the popular restaurant owner of Charlie Hess' restaurant on the Main Line for two decades. In addition to his son and daughter, he is survived by his grandsons, Brett Holleman of Manhattan and Blake Haase of Montclair NJ; by his great-grandsons Ryker Holleman and Jasper Haase; and by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Haase's wife, Betty, to whom he was married in 1945, pre-deceased him in 1983. He was loved by family and friends and will be profoundly missed. A private Memorial Service is planned for September 14th at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St., Phila at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
