CAROLE ELLEN GOTTLIEB, age 70, passed away after a valiant fight against Pancreatic Cancer on July 3, 2013. Daughter of the late Samuel and Jean Sebotnick, Carole taught elementary school students before she had children of her own. Wife of Bernie Gottlieb for 44 years, she resided in Center City Phila., where she was an active volunteer for Project HOME, MANNA, Gift of Life and the Leonard & Madlyn Abramson Center for Jewish Life. In addition to her volunteer work, she enjoyed traveling around the world and experiencing different cultures with her family and friends.
Mother of Brian Gottlieb, Bonnie Rothenstein (Adam) and Michael Gottlieb (Julie). She was known affectionately as "Mom C" to her beloved granddaughters, Jenna and Sasha Rothenstein, and Melanie Gottlieb. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Monday, 11:30 A.M. precisely, GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Bonnie and Adam Rothenstein.
