Bryna A Spinell, 75, of Warminster, Pa, passed away on October 11, 2023.
Bryna was born on December 20, 1947 to Morris and Sarah Kovalsky in Philadelphia. She was the oldest of two sisters (by 5 minutes). She and her twin sister, Diane, remained inseparable throughout her life.
Bryna was the first in her family to graduate from college, receiving a Bachelor’s of Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati. Before starting her career, she established a family of her three loving sons Alan, Gary, and Steven. After moving to Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Bryna began what would be a lifelong career in teaching. She later returned to the Philadelphia area where she met and fell in love with Rick Spinell. Bryna and Rick would marry and have been by each other’s side ever since. They have enjoyed traveling and exploring new destinations.
Bryna was a fierce fighter having battled multiple adversities throughout her life, including a brain aneurysm, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. She was a social butterfly whose calendar was always full. She loved to be active and enjoyed being with her friends and family. Bryna liked games of all types, including mahjong, cards and word games. Very few can claim they beat her at scrabble. She also had a love of food, especially anything containing chocolate. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, Madison, Josh, Jake, and Megan, who could do no wrong in her eyes.
Bryna is survived by her husband, Rick Spinell, her sons and their wives, Alan and Cheryl, Gary and Mary, Steven and Amy; dedicated twin sister Diane and husband Jeff Boss; and her adoring grandchildren, Madison, Josh, Jake, and Megan.
Family and friends are invited to funeral services on Friday, October 13, 9:30 AM precisely, Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael Sacks Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the home of Gary and Mary Summer following interment and after 6:00 PM on Saturday.
While Bryna may no longer be physically with us, her spirit and memory will continue to shine in our hearts. Donations in her memory can be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, www.michaeljfox.org
