Brenda Gail Saltman, age, 70, of Monroe Township, NJ, formerly of Dover and Needham, MA, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on January 2, 2021. Born in Boston to the late Milton and Dorothy(Libow) Saltman.
Brenda grew up in West Roxbury. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Education. She was a gifted teacher. For many years, she was the secular kindergarten teacher at Maimonides School in Brookline. She was a talented pianist and taught piano lessons.
Brenda loved music, reading, shopping, word games, lunch with friends, and family gatherings. Brenda was a love. She was the epitome of kindness and gentleness. The warmth of her smile and easy laughter will be missed by the many lives she touched.
Brenda was the devoted, supportive, and loving mother to Amy and James Wallace of Robbinsville, NJ and Mindy and Ethan Fineout of Shoreline, WA. She doted on her grandchildren, Liam, Emmalyn, and Declan. She was beloved by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Leslie and Robert Stacks of Newton, MA and Sheila and Alan Ronkin of Bellingham, MA. She was cherished by her nieces and nephews, Jonathan and Jennifer Bornstein, Lynne and William Bermont, Nelson and Abby Stacks, Steven and the late Judith Ostrovitz, Jeremy and Margie Klein-Ronkin, and Mikhail and Adelaide Ronkin. She always had special gifts for her ten great-nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her companion, Alan Hellman, who brought her joy and laughter on a daily basis.
