Boris Cheskis

Boris Cheskis passed away on August 15th, 2024, surrounded by his family. A natural problem solver, a talented mechanical engineer by profession for almost 5 decades, Boris loved to travel the world with his wife of 50 years, as well as his family and friends. He would light up a room with his great sense of humor and smile, enjoyed playing chess, loved the ocean and had an innate draw to finance and investing. All these things he passed on and taught to his beloved grandchildren who brought him such joy. A determined immigrant from the former Soviet Union, where he served in the military for two years, Boris built a better life for his family with unrelenting focus, hard work and persistence. Beloved husband of Mila (nee Zauergaft); loving father of Florina (Jarred) Handel and Luba (Greg) Star. Adoring grandfather of Ethan, Rachel, Jaxon and Dylan. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at GOLDSTEINS’ ROSENBERG’S FUNERAL DIRECTORS Suburban North at 11:30 AM, interment to follow at Shalom Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
