Betty Tenenbaum Solomon

Betty Tenenbaum Solomon passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on October 20, 1942 to her parents Solomon and Rose Tenenbaum. A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Betty was born in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia before her family moved to the Northeast when she was 12. Betty was a June 1960 graduate of Northeast High School. In October 1964, Betty married Allen Solomon.

Betty worked for many years at Channel Home Centers, Genuardi’s family markets, and at the Warrington Target and Wegman’s. Her last job was at Heritage Towers (now Wesley Enhanced Living), assisted living facility in Doylestown.

Betty had many hobbies, including playing cards and mahjong with her friends. She enjoyed dining out and playing slots at the casino.

Betty is survived by her children, daughter, Jodi Roeschen, and son David Solomon. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Kaitlynn Wilson and her husband William, and Justin, Lindsay and Evan Roeschen, and her nephew and niece, Stanley and Janet Horwitz. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Allen, her sister Marcia Horwitz and her son in law Kenneth Roeschen.

A celebration of life will take place at Roosevelt Memorial Park in the Spring
