Bernice Brown

Bernice Brown (nee Belitsky), age 97, passed away on May 30, 2022. Wife of the late Michael Brown; mother of Clifford Harold (Marcia) Brown, Mark Allan (Waynette) Brown, Paul Robert (Shelley) Brown, and Karen Joyce (Peter) Velocci; sister of Jack Belitsky; Grandmother of Daniel (Colleen) Brown, Amanda (Daniel) Linick, Jordan, Lindsay, Ryan, Jason Brown and Heather (Brandon) Murro; Great-grandmother of Sadie and Sam Brown, Nathan and Maya Linick, Ryan, Ethan, and Maddox Murro. 

Bernice grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Simon Gratz High School in 1942. She worked for the Defense Department during World War II. She married Michael Brown in December 1943 and they raised 4 children. They enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 67 years until Michael's death in 2010. Bernice enjoyed playing cards and Mah Jong and had many, many friends. She was a dancer, loved to jitterbug and was a terrific joke teller. She always brought a smile to everyone's face. She will be greatly missed.

A Chapel Service will take place at 11:30 am at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Raphael-Sacks, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966, followed by interment at Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Road Jenkintown, PA 19046.
