Born 1913 in North Phila., boxed professionally as flyweight "Bernie Shannon (The fighting Irishman)". Served with distinc-tion in WWII with 175th Corp of Engineers, US Army, North Africa, Sicily and Italy. Was P.A.L. boxing coach, worked in sales at Gimbel's Cheltenham. Resided with the Aaronson family in Hong Kong and New Hope PA. He was gentle, good-humored, and devoted to his family. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Sunday, 1 P.M. precisely, GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton. Int. at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Shiva will be observed at the residence of Roselyn and Steve Aaronson, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings.
