Benjamin "Benji" Eisenstein

Benjamin "Benji" Eisenstein, passed away suddenly on March 15th, 2024, at the age of 68. His death was attributed to a heart attack, likely brought on by complications during his recent hip surgery.

As a resident of Philadelphia, PA since immigrating from Poland as child at age 8, Benji was a true jack-of-all-trades throughout his career, applying his skills and enthusiasm to everything he did. From working at Bagels 'N Buns to carpentry, roofing, serving as a maître d' and coaching little league, he was never one to avoid a challenge. A passionate advocate, he marched with the local carpenter unions, inspired others during meetings, and faithfully served as a poll worker.

Benji had a larger-than-life personality, known for his booming voice and unwavering loyalty. He cherished his family and pets, and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his son, Ryan (Katey), grandchildren Jacob, Nicole, Madelyn, and Liam; wife, Kathleen (nee Lombardi) and step-daughter, Kathy (Joe); brother, Reuven (Lynne); and ex-spouse, Lynn (Ray). He was predeceased by his daughter, Amber; brother, Morris; and parents, Eugenia and Henry Eisenstein.
