Barry Cohen, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully July 15th, 2025 surrounded by his family at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Phyllis for 65 years (also referred to as “Gracie”); Cherished father of Brian and Loriann; Dear brother of Elaine; Loving Grandfather of Carlie, Joseph, Talya, Briana, and Sean; Great-Grandfather of Ella Grace.

Barry was born on March 17th, 1934 and raised in Philadelphia. He was a Veteran of the US Army, drafted and honorably discharged after his service, and was a dedicated Freemason at Lodge #9 in Philadelphia.

Known affectionately as “Pop-Pop,” he was a constant source of joy, love and support in his children and grandchildren’s lives. He cherished cooking Sunday breakfast for his grandchildren followed by days on the Longport beach with his family. Together with his beloved wife, he built a quiet home filled with warmth and lasting memories that will live through their family for generations. His legacy is not just in the memories he created, but in the values he passed on, always putting family above all.

The family invites those who knew and loved him to gather for his Funeral Service on Monday, July 21, 2025, 11:30 AM at Goldsteins’ Rosenburg’s Suburban North, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
