BARBARA A. BRONSTEIN (nee Asher) of Jenkintown, PA, formerly of Philadelphia PA passed away peacefully at Abington Hospital surrounded by family on April 14, 2025. She was the beloved of wife Robert Bronstein who preceded her in death, mother of Arthur (Nancy), Rachel aka Shelly (Piotr) Stamieszkin, Daniel (Deborah Tesei) and special niece Jami (Barry) Shrut; Devoted grandmother of Adam (Rachel), Scott, Karen (Aaron), Maia (Josh), and Chelsea: Adoring great-grandmother of Rosa. Barbara was a dynamic, caring, energetic organizer of numerous activities throughout her long 94 year-long life. Known as Aunt Barbara, she taught swimming and directed the Red Cross Swim program at Willow Grove Day Camp for many years. She also taught physical education at Solomon Schechter and Forman Day Schools in Northeast Philadelphia. Girls High and Temple University were always a part of Barbara’s life as she made many lifelong friends. She easily made friends and continued to do so even through her most recent move to the Plaza. Barbara was always abreast of events in her friends' lives, and she always helped before being asked. Barbara loved golf, skiing, entertaining, bridge, music and the arts; she was an enthusiastic fan of all the Philly sports teams, and a dedicated, active member of Congregation Keneseth Israel. Above all she cherished her family. Her twin sister Harriet was always with her through life, although she passed away at a young age. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services, Thursday, 10:30 AM precisely at Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, 8339 Old York Rd., Elkins Park, PA. Int. Roosevelt Mem. Park.
