ARTHUR A., 92, Dec. 6, 2012. Beloved husband of Kate (70 wonderful years of marriage), brother of David Hill, Sydney Hill, and the late Harold Hill, and father of Dennis Hill (Tina), Jeffrey Hill (Grace), and Shelley Douglas (Mark). Grandfather of Brandi (Michael), Jason, Denise, Michelle, Rachel, and Maggie, and Great-Grandfather of Whitney. A WWII veteran, he left college in 1941 to build battleships at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, became a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps, and a B-29 navigator. In addition to a successful career in sales, he was an enthusiastic sailor and yachtsman, an officer and instructor in the U.S. Power Squadron, and a docent on the battleship New Jersey. He was a skilled woodworker, an avid reader and writer, and had an unquenchable thirst for learning. Arthur and Kate were long-time members of Oxford Circle Jewish Community Center.
