Arthur Gendler passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2020. Husband of 69 years to his beloved Florence, (nee Miller); devoted father to Jeff (Miriam), Curt (Beth) and Mike (Rachel); fun-loving and "never-too-busy-for-you" grandfather to Julia Entwistle, Hillary Kleppel, Erica Intrieri and Brandon Gendler, and his five great-grandchildren (Micah, Stella, Weston, Daniella and Cody), and all of them were the loves of his life. Art lived a full life and was a happy and active man who combined family, organizational commitment, physical activity, service to his country and of course, the Phillies. He grew up in Camden and served his country as a PFC in the Army, including as part of the massive beach landing on D-Day and in Belgium just before the Battle of the Bulge. He moved to Philadelphia when he met his lifemate, and became one of the first families to raise kids in the new neighborhood of "Oxford Circle". His infectious smile will be missed forever. Graveside Services will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, November 13th AM, at King David Memorial Park (sec. Z-1), 3594 Bristol Road, Bensalem PA 19020, where a military Honor Guard will begin the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hadassah or a charity of the donor's choice.
