Arline Karp Ravitch, Chana bat Avraham V’ Yehudit of Yardley, Pennsylvania and West Palm Beach, Florida passed away surrounded by her family reciting the Shema. She was the daughter of Edith and Albert Karp. Survived by her husband of over 61 years, Carl Ravitch, children Frank (Chika), Elizabeth, and Sharon Ravitch, Jamie Grosslicht and Andy Burstein, her grandchildren Elysha (Andy), Sara (Colin), Lena, Ariana, Ari and Lev and her siblings, Gary (Mindy) Karp, and Jacqui (Ken z’l) Schwartz.
Arline was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Before building her amazing family, she was a business office supervisor for Bell Telephone. Her inner flame and initiative led to her becoming a founding member of Congregation Tifereth Israel (TI) of Lower Bucks County, where she was president three times. She was a pillar of the Jewish community in Women’s League and TI Sisterhood. Arline lived a life fiercely committed to her family and dedicated to Judaism, Jewish culture, and Israel. She was an Eshet Chayil beloved by her family and all who knew her, an avid lover of giraffes, smiley faces, and the color green. Zichronah Livracha—May her memory be for a blessing.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 12, 12:15 PM at Congregation Tifereth Israel of Lower Bucks County, 2909 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. A seven-day Shiva will be observed at the Ravitch residence from 6:00-9:00 PM with Minyan at 8:00 PM.
