Arlien Leshner

Arlien Leshner (nee Pomerantz) 92 passed away peacefully on January 14th, 2023. She was the wife of the late Bertram (Bert) Leshner. They were married for 60 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Bella (nee Goldman) and Max Pomerantz. She lived in Philadelphia until retiring to Florida in 1999. She returned to Philadelphia in 2020. She worked part time after her children were grown at Strawbridge's, GiGi's, Halpren’s and Skolnick's. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Shelley Carter (Bob), Gary Leshner (Shellie), Cindy Strauss (Mark), 5 grandchildren Lisa Jesse (Justin), Michael Carter (Jen) Stacy Leshner, Sandy Santana (Derek) and Matthew Strauss, 5 great grandchildren, Bethany, Dylan, Josh Jesse, Brynlee Carter and Stevie Santana, and her brother Bob Pomerantz (Kathi). She was predeceased by her grandson Steven Strauss and one great granddaughter Jordan Myer. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or to the Peyton's Place Animal Rescue. At the family’s request, services will be held privately.
