SACKS
ARLENE (nee Yaffe)

Passed away peacefully on Yom Kippur after a long battle with breast cancer. Just shy of her 74th birthday, Arlene lived most of her life in Northeast Philadelphia. She is the daughter of Syd and Belle Yaffe of Montour St. She worked for Whipple & Assoc-iates, Mass Mutual for decades, and her cherished role in life was being a second mom to the neighborhood children of Bonner St., where she and husband, Steve Sacks, raised their family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Bryan (Cheri), Ilyse, and Matt; her beloved grand-children, Jaime, Jessica, Tanner, Jerico, and Jade; great-grandchildren Marley and Trey; and brother Barry (Donna) Yaffe. She leaves behind a heartbroken extended family, including her best friend Nonnie (Dave) Checkoff and brother-in-law Alan Sacks. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 2, at 1 P.M. at
GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS SUBURBAN NORTH, 310 Second St. Pike, Southampton., after which the family will sit Shiva in the home of Matt Sacks. In lieu of flowers, please make contri-butions to the Healing Con-sciousness Foundation:
