ANNETTE WAGNER

December 14, 1926 — October 24, 2021

Annette Wagner passed on October 24, 2021, Haverford PA. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and just recently great-grandmother. She served as a secretary at Signal Corps in Philadelphia during WW2 and then as a homemaker raising three children and two dogs. Following the death of her husband Joe, she returned to work at her uncle's press clipping service. She spent her later years, up until 2014 at age 87, working at a podiatry office where she found her true calling, working with patients. Annette was proud of her children and delighted in watching her grandchildren grow, sharing and celebrating milestones with them along the way. She enjoyed volunteering for fundraising events and served on the board of the Sisterhood at Beth T'fillah Synagogue, Philadelphia and then becoming an active member at Adath Israel, Merion Station. Annette took pleasure in going to the library and seeking out the latest James Patterson book. She loved having lunch with her friends and going to Broadway shows. Annette enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, spending summer vacations with her family at the Jersey Shore or New England. A couple of her greatest pleasures were playing Ma Jongg and shopping for bargains. But most of all, she loved dogs and the feeling of joy that she got and received from them. She especially loved her dachshund and her grand dogs Kodiak and Baxter. She is survived by her three children: Harold Wagner O.D., Sara Potter RN (Larry); and Debra Simon, CPA (Paul); five grandchildren: Jaclyn Potter, (Greg Cattley); Mark Potter, (Molly Beitman, fiance); Jessica Potosky, (Richard); Joshua Simon; and Jamie Simon and one great-grandchild, Evan Cattley. The family requests that donations be made to: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (aspca.org) or Bala Cynwyd Library (https://lmls.org/locations-hours/bala-cynwyd-library/ and click the "Donate" button).
