Anne Myerson, 99, died Friday, April 9, 2004, in Fox Meadow Retirement Home, Bristol, N.H.
Born: January 6, 1905, in the village of Boslev, Boguslav, Kiev guberny, Ukraine, a daughter of William Victor and Baila Stolier Dershawetz.
Personal: Her husband, Myer C., died in 1974.
She came to the United States at the age of three and lived in Philadelphia until July 1994 when she moved to her daughter's home in Plymouth, N.H. She lived there for three years and then moved to Fox Meadow.
Anne graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and operated as succession of drug stores with her husband who was also a pharmacist. During World War II, she developed the drug store luncheonette into a popular neighborhood eating place for three meals a day. In 1947, she founded Aunt Leah's Frozen Foods, bringing old world dishes to families who still had the taste for them but lacked the skills or time to prepare them.
Anne was proficient in many kinds of needlework, which she began at an early age and continued between customers at the drug store and after retirement.
Survivors: her daughter, Audrey Myerson O'Neill; two grandchildren, Anne O'Neill of Whiting, Ind. and Edward O'Neill of Los Angeles; a special niece, Linda Kaplan of Ventnor, N.J.; nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Services: Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in Har Jehuda Cemetery, Upper Darby, Pa. Goldsteins', Rosenberg's, Raphael Sacks Funeral Home, Philadelphia, is in charge of arrangements.
