Anne Katz, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away November 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Anne was the devoted wife of the late Mel Katz, with whom she shared 42 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2012. Together they built a life full of warmth, joy, and family—values that Anne carried with her every day. She was the proud and loving mother of Andrea Keck (née Katz) and Steven Katz, who were truly the lights of her life. Her greatest joy came from being “Grandma” to her three cherished grandchildren—Justin (18), Julia (16), and Mason (7)—whom she affectionately called her “heartbeat.”
Anne is also survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law, Art and Kay Shumsky, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support.
In the 1970s and early 1980s, Anne gave her time and heart as a volunteer with the Deborah Heart and Lung Association, helping to improve the lives of others through her compassion and generosity. Her creative spirit shone brightly as well—she loved to sing and perform, showcasing her talent on stage with the Music Theater of Abington during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Anne will be remembered for her radiant smile, her generous heart, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her warmth and presence touched every life she encountered, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory be a blessing.
